I have never actually tried the Mesh Deform modifier in conjunction with the Armature Mod, but in time I really would want to try out. I wouldn't want to just simply constrain my mesh deformation with the simple translation of the bones, would I? Mesh Def and Lattices is the way to go for an even more realistically looking deform.
